If you’re having trouble uploading new content to YouTube, you’re not alone, as Google has just confirmed an ongoing problem with uploads for both videos and Shorts.
YouTube sees a lot of new uploads every day, usually without any issues. But, right now, some creators are seeing problems with uploads getting stuck during the process. The two core issues that Google notes include uploads getting stuck “at 0%” and upload progress stopping during the “suitability” check.”
The problem affects both videos and Shorts, both on mobile devices and through the website on desktop.
Google explains:
We’ve heard some of you are having issues with uploading videos and Shorts. Rest assured our teams are aware and actively looking into it!
Here’s what you might be experiencing:
- Uploads stuck at 0%
- Uploads progress pauses at “Suitability” check
- This issues affects desktop & mobile devices
It’s unclear how widespread this problem is, but there are quite a few creators pinging the @TeamYouTube support account on Twitter/X regarding the issue.
We’ll update this post as more details are available.
