Summary
- A leak indicates 20 more Galaxy devices will receive One UI 7 in the coming weeks, including 11 A-series phones.
- A host of midrange, entry-level, and ruggedized phones, plus some entry-level and ruggedized tablets, will get the software in June.
- Samsung is wrapping up the One UI 7 rollout just in time to start the beta program for One UI 8.
Samsung’s One UI 7 interface first showed up on Android Police on May 8, 2024. The year since has proven quite a rollercoaster, with feature rumors appearing and fading away, and delay after delay leaving Galaxy owners wondering if they’ll ever get those fancy, new layouts and icons.
At long last, a wide selection of low-cost Galaxy devices are now scheduled to receive the Android 15-based update in the coming weeks. The list of 20 devices includes some of the most popular Galaxy phones and tablets worldwide, with a particular focus on the midrange A series, which sells especially well in regions outside the US (Source: @tarunvats33 on Twitter/X).

The Galaxy A35 offers great value for the money, due in part to Samsung’s popular software.
The rough timeline was brought to light by frequent, reputable tipster Tarun Vats, and you could say it’s not his first rodeo. He previously spied the One UI 7 rollout in progress for the S24, 2021 Galaxy foldables, and the S21, among many other reliable, insider insights. So this leak is almost as good as an official announcement.
All the devices we learned about today are planned to receive the update in June, except for the Galaxy Tab A9 (which will have to wait until July). Here are the Samsung smartphones that didn’t have a definite One UI 7 release window, but do now:
- Galaxy A53, A54, and A55
- Galaxy A33, A34, and A35
- Galaxy A25
- Galaxy A14, A15, and A16
- Galaxy A05s
- Galaxy M33 and M53
- Galaxy XCover 6 Pro and XCover7

The Galaxy Tab A9+ is affordable, user-friendly, and all the tablet most people need.
That covers a significant portion of Galaxy phones globally, despite some of the standouts on that list — such as the excellent Galaxy A55 — never reaching the US market. Samsung makes far fewer tablet models, but it’s still giving them attention. The most popular recent release is on the One UI 7 schedule, as is one of the most rugged tablet families in the world:
- Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+
- Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024)
- Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro and Active 5
That’s a total of 20 devices, on top of the many that have already received Samsung’s refined interpretation of Android 15. While we have yet to reach the end of the One UI 7 launch story, there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. But what will we report on then?
Why, One UI 8, of course. It’s slated to arrive this summer. Summer’s right around the corner, and the One UI 8 beta program could begin at any second. Stay tuned as Samsung, leakers, and code investigators begin uncovering the next-generation interface’s new features.
