Xiaomi Will Launch Its Large Home Appliances Globally In 2025

Xiaomi appears to have a lot going on at this year’s Mobile World Congress. At the ongoing event, the Chinese OEM giant already launched the global Xiaomi 15 series, which includes the Xiaomi 15 (review) and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The company followed this up with the announcement of a bunch of new smart Internet of Things (IoT) products, such as Buds 5 Pro, Watch S4, and more. Now, Xiaomi says that it will globally launch large home appliances in 2025.

Xiaomi will launch large home appliances worldwide this year

Samsung currently dominates the global large home appliances market. On the other hand, other brands like LG, Whirlpool, and Bosch trail it in this segment. Now, Xiaomi is looking to challenge Samsung and others in the large home appliance segment by expanding its new products globally in 2025.

At the ongoing MWC 2025 event, Xiaomi specifically mentioned that those appliances would be refrigerators, ACs, washing machines, and dryers. It should be noted that the company hasn’t given an exact launch date for these products.

Xiaomi also hasn’t revealed in which countries it would make these large home appliances available. That said, these appliances might launch in Europe and South Asia before anywhere else, given Xiaomi’s market share in these regions.

The company could cement its place in the new product segment, especially in India

Speaking of South Asian countries, Xiaomi might unveil new large home appliances starting in India. Xiaomi entered the Indian market more than a decade ago and has gradually built an ecosystem in the country. Currently, the company offers various products in India, including smart TVs, robot vacuums, security cameras, and water purifiers.

That’s not all; the brand is quite popular among users who are into smartphones and audio accessories. However, when we talk of the large home appliances segment, brands like Samsung, LG, Panasonic, and Haier are popular in India. Well, Xiaomi has the chance to be another popular brand in this segment too. That’s because the tech giant has already captured a fair amount of market share in other product segments in India.
