The global variant of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been announced today, and we’re here to take a closer look at its specifications. We’ve already covered the initial launch, in case you’re interested in that.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes with a truly powerful set of specifications
The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm. That is a 3nm chip and the best Qualcomm has to offer at the moment. That chip is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage. Well, at least in most markets, as that is the only global version that we were informed of. Storage expansion is not available, by the way. Xiaomi also included Dual-Channel Ice-Loop 3D cooling system here.
A 6.73-inch WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED display is also included here. It is flat and has a centered display camera hole up top. The glass on top of the display is slightly curved on all sides. The resolution here is 3200 x 1440 pixels, which equals 522 ppi. The refresh rate is adaptive (1-120Hz).
It supports high-frequency PWM dimming and has a very bright display
Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content are both supported here, while the peak brightness the display can offer is 3,200 nits. The phone supports high-frequency PWM dimming at 1,920Hz and comes with TUV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light (hardware solution) and Anti-flicker. Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 protects this display.
A 5,410mAh battery sits inside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, while 90W wired and 80W wireless charging is supported. Xiaomi also supports 18W reverse wireless charging on the device. Android 15 comes pre-installed with HyperOS 2.0 included on top.
Wi-Fi 7 is supported, as is Bluetooth 6.0
This smartphone has a nanoSIM + nanoSIM/eSIM setup, while dual 5G connectivity is supported. Speaking of which, Wi-Fi 7 support is included here too, and the same goes for Bluetooth 6.0. A Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port sits at the bottom of the phone. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also IP68-certified for water and dust resistance.
There are four cameras included in the camera oreo on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s LYT-900 sensor, 1-inch type sensor, OIS, f/1.63 aperture, 4-in-1 pixel binning) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (115-degree FoV, 0.64um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture).
A powerful quartet of cameras sits on the back
A 50-megapixel floating telephoto camera (OIS, 3x optical zoom, 70mm focal length equivalent, 0.7um pixel size, 10cm macro, f/1.8 aperture) also sits on the back, along with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (1/1.4-inch sensor size, 4.3x optical zoom, OIS, 4-in-1 superpixel, f/2.6 aperture). Leica lenses are a part of the package, while a 32-megapixel selfie snapper (f/2.0 aperture, 0.7um pixel size) is also included.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes in Black, White, and Silver Chrome colors to global markets. It measures 161.3 x 75.3 x 9.35-9.48mm, depending on the model. The device weighs 226 or 229 grams, once again, depending on the model you get.
