Weather Card Goes Missing For The Few Android Auto Users That Can Actually See It

A bug in Android Auto has left the weather card information broken for users, a feature that the majority of users already can’t see.

The weather tile in Android Auto only appears for some users, specifically those who have a display large enough (especially vertically) display to show the additional tile and a full Google Maps app through the dashboard. There are DPI adjustments that can be made with some additional hardware, but weather information on Android Auto simply isn’t available to most drivers.

For the few drivers who are actually seeing the weather card in Android Auto, a bug has left it broken.

We noticed earlier this week that the weather card in Android Auto was blank, not showing local weather information during a drive. Other users on Reddit report seeing the same behavior. Affected vehicles include a Ford F-150 Lightning and a 2024 Crosstrek, as well as some other vehicles.

Disappearing weather information isn’t a particularly uncommon issue, as it’s popped up in the past and is usually fixed by clearing the cache of the Google app. To have a few reports pop up at once, though, suggests a bug on Google’s end or in a recent Android Auto or Google app update, especially as clearing cache and data doesn’t seem to be working.
