After launching earlier this month and going in and out of availability, Walmart’s Onn 4K Plus is once again available for purchase at just under $30, if you’re lucky that is.
The Onn 4K Plus is the latest in a long line of Android-based streaming devices from Walmart. This latest version, though, is a perfect replacement for the Chromecast with Google TV that was discontinued last year. Not only does it run on the same platform and share similar performance, but it has double the storage and costs quite a bit less.
Walmart opened sales of Onn 4K Plus earlier this month, but the streaming device has gone out of stock on multiple occasions as we’ve been monitoring it. The problem is that Walmart’s stock appears to be based on where you are located. Even if the device is being shipped, you might see it in stock if shipping to one address, but out of stock in another. As this article is being published, we’re seeing availability in North Carolina and California, but not in some portions of New York that we’ve tested.
Store availability also varies, but it does seem that a number of stores have the device in stock.
You can head over to Walmart’s website for more details on stock levels in your area, and we’ll continue to provide updates on Onn 4K Plus availability as they become available.
