The Vivo X200 Ultra launch date has been officially announced. On top of that, the phone’s hands-on video has surfaced, along with some images to accompany it. There’s plenty to talk about here, starting with the launch date.
The Vivo X200 Ultra launch date has been confirmed
The Vivo X200 Ultra will launch on April 21 in China. Chances are that the phone will not launch globally at all, but we’re still not 100% sure. Either way, this confirmation comes from China, from Vivo’s official Weibo page.
The launch event will kick off at 7 PM local time. That doesn’t mean much to you, however, as it will be in Chinese, so there’s no point in tuning in at all. You’ll have to wait for more information after the device gets announced.
Along with the Vivo X200 Ultra, four other products will see the light of day on April 21. Vivo will announce the Vivo X200s, Vivo Pad 5 Pro, Vivo Pad SE, and Vivo Watch 5, at the very least.
A hands-on video with the device has also surfaced
Now, if you check out the hands-on video below, you’ll see the device in the flesh. It has a similar design to the Vivo X200 Pro. The frame is flat all around, while the quad micro-curved design is applied here, both on the front and the back.

In other words, the display on the phone is flat, but the glass on top of it is curved on all four sides. A centered display camera hole is also included here. The backplate is proportionally curved.
That is glass on the back, and you’ll notice an interesting pattern on the vast majority of the phone’s backplate. It has a ton of vertical lines across it. We do believe that this is just a pattern under the glass, though, but we cannot be sure.
It has a huge camera module on the back
The camera module on the back is not only huge, but it protrudes a lot. We’ve seen it in the back, and it is to be expected considering the huge camera sensors that Vivo will use in this phone.
