Projectors have been gaining in popularity over the years. This is because projectors give users more flexibility when it comes to visual entertainment. Instead of a TV sitting there unused, a projector lets users tuck it away and use the space for something else. If you’re looking for a new projector system, check out the Valerion VisionMaster Max, recently announced at CES 2025. Valerion initially launched the projector on Kickstarter last year, where it raised over $10 million in funding.

Extremely bright, stunning visuals

Perhaps one of the more standout features of the Valerion VisionMaster Max is its contrast ratios. Your more standard projector might only offer a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, but Valerion has taken it further to a 15,000:1 contrast ratio. This will significantly boost the colors, which in turn helps create a more immersive and detailed experience.

This is versus cheaper projectors that can sometimes give off a more “washed out” look. The VisionMaster Max also gets pretty bright up to 3,000 ISO lumens, whereas other projectors might only go up to 2,000 lumens. Valerian is also boasting how the projector features ISF-certified calibration mode and also how it uses AI to upscale Full HD content to 4K.

There is also support for Dynamic Tone Mapping. This is where the projector can automatically and intelligently adjust the brightness and contrast on the screen in real-time. This helps to ensure that you’re always looking at the most optimized image possible.

Great for gaming too

You can normally use projectors to watch TV shows and movies, but the Valerion VisionMaster Max also excels in gaming. The company claims that with the use of its VisionMaster Gaming system, it offers 4ms input lag and a refresh rate of 240Hz when playing at 1080p resolution.

Users can also choose between 21:9 or 32:9 aspect ratios and a bunch of custom modes. These modes change the colors of the projection. For example, there’s FPS mode which provides darker details and clearer audio. Then there’s also RPG mode that offers deep bass, which Valerion claims will help users dive into more “cinematic realism”.

Suitable for all room sizes

One of the benefits of a projector versus a regular TV is that you have more control over the space. For instance, a 50-inch TV whether in use or not is still 50-inches. A projector, on the other hand, gives you more flexibility.

This is especially true for the Valerion VisionMaster Max. This is thanks to the 0.9-1.5 throw ratio and optical zoom adjustment. It allows users to go from as small as 100-inches all the up to a whopping 300-inches.

So if you have a small room or large room, it won’t be an issue for the VisionMaster Max. You’ll still be able to enjoy 4K content on both larger and smaller surfaces.

Pricing & availability

If you’re interested in the Valerion VisionMaster Max projector, note that it does not come cheap! The projector is available for pre-order via Valerion’s website where it is priced at $3,999. This is a lot of money to spend on a projector, but if all the features mentioned above are to your liking, then maybe this could be a good investment to take your home movie experience to the next level.
