This Tiny Wireless Android Auto Adapter Hides In Your Car's USB Port

Wireless Android Auto adapters come in a lot of shapes and forms nowadays, but most are not very good at hiding in plain sight. That’s the appeal of a new wireless Android Auto adapter from Ottocast, which is very small and just hides within your car’s standard USB port.

Available now for $59.99, Ottocast Mini is a wireless Android Auto (and CarPlay) adapter that converts your car’s existing wired connection into a wireless one. The adapter works similar to AAWireless and others, with a quick wireless connect and a button for switching between paired devices.

The advantage of this particular adapter is its size. The small design looks like a tiny flash drive, with a built-in USB-A connector that’s designed to plug straight into your car. For vehicles with a USB port inside of the center console or hidden elsewhere, there’s no benefit to this design, but for vehicles where the USB port is directly in view, the Ottocast Mini looks as though it’d clean up a lot of potential clutter.

There’s even a 90-degree adapter included to potentially clean things up even further.

Of course, one downside here is that this only works perfectly if your car has a USB-A port for Android Auto – admittedly the most common scenario. If you happen to be using a USB-C port instead, there’s an adapter in the box, but it starts to negate the savings you get from the hardware size.
