Summary
- Chipolo Pop supports both Apple and Google Find My networks, but only one at a time.
- You can use Chipolo’s companion app for extra features like phone alerts and customizable tones.
- The tracker costs $29, offers a 300-foot range, and is water-resistant with a 1-year battery.
When it comes to Bluetooth item trackers, there are now more options than ever. Android users can choose from options like the Pebblebee Clip and Chipolo One Point, which work with Google’s Find My Device network. Apple users, on the other hand, have devices like the AirTag. But if you want a tracker that works with both Android and iOS, you’ve typically had to rely on something like Tile. Chipolo’s new tracker aims to change that.

Chipolo today announced a new Bluetooth tracker called Pop that supports both Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find My Device networks out of the box. While the company already makes dedicated trackers for each platform, the Chipolo Pop is the first tracker from the brand to work with either ecosystem — though not both at once.

You can set up the Pop using the Find My app on iOS or the Find My Device app on Android. However, it’s important to note that the Pop only works with one ecosystem at a time. So, if it’s configured with an iPhone, Android devices won’t be able to see its location, and vice versa. That said, having the flexibility to choose either network makes it a versatile option.
Alternatively, you can use Chipolo’s free companion app, which unlocks several extra features. These include a Call Your Phone feature (even if the phone is on silent) by double-pressing the Pop, out-of-range alerts for Android, and the ability to customize the alert tone it plays. The app also lets you use the Chipolo as a remote camera shutter for your smartphone.

The Chipolo Pop comes in six vibrant color options: blue, red, white, black, green, and yellow. Like other Chipolo trackers, it uses a user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery that lasts up to a year. It also features an improved Bluetooth range of up to 300 feet and a loud 120dB speaker. The Chipolo Pop also packs an IP55 water and dust resistance rating, it can handle daily wear and the occasional rain.
The Chipolo Pop is priced at $29 for a single unit and $89 for a 4-pack. If you regularly switch between Android and iPhone, or want to gift a tracker without knowing the recipient’s device type, this could be a perfect cross-platform solution.

The Chipolo Pop is a unique item tracker because it supports both Google’s and Apple’s Find My networks out of the box, so there’s no need to choose between ecosystems. It offers a long range, loud speakers, and IP55-rated dust and water resistance. The tracker comes in various colors and can even function as a remote shutter button for your smartphone.
