The PlayStation Plus Catalog Just Added Some Magical New Content

Summary: Sony hhas announced the new slate of games coming to the PlayStation Plus catalog for the month of April. There are 8 new games in total being added, two of which are new releases added to the catalog on day one.
The PlayStation Plus catalog is your ticket to new and exciting games that you can download and play without having to buy them, and the slate of new titles added for April includes some pretty “magical” content.
To access games from the PlayStation Plus catalog, you need to be subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium or Extra. That being said, you can still subscribe to the Essential plan and get the free monthly games that are given out each month. The nice thing about the catalog is that it tends to grow every single month as Sony adds new titles. These games can be anywhere from smaller indie games to big AAA blockbusters. Such is the case for April with the latest PlayStation Plus catalog games.
Another great thing about the catalog is that you can access some of these games on the PlayStation Portal through the cloud streaming feature.
The big addition this month is, of course, Hogwarts Legacy. An entire game based around the presence of magic, with your character being a literal wizard casting spells. If you’ve not yet played Hogwarts Legacy, it is strongly recommended. Not only is it a big open-world game that lets you explore Hogwarts Castle and the region around it, but it looks gorgeous, and the combat is pretty fun. If Hogwarts Legacy isn’t your bag, there are other games worthy of consideration this month.
PlayStation Plus catalog for April gets 8 new games in total
Aside from Hogwarts Legacy, there are 7 other games being added to the catalog to check out. Making for a total of 8 altogether. Out of all of those, 5 of the remaining titles include Blue Prince, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage – Tape 2, EA Sports PGA Tour, Battlefield 1, and PlateUp!. These 5 plus Hogwarts Legacy are available to all subscribers on the Extra and Premium plans. The Premium subscribers will get access to two additional titles to play. Those games are Alone in the Dark 2 and War of the Monsters.
It’s also worth noting that the catalog doesn’t just add games. Some are also removed from time to time, as Sony cycles games in and out. While it doesn’t mention any games in its blog post that are leaving the catalog this month, it’s worth keeping an eye on. Just in case there are some you haven’t finished playing.
All games will be available by April 15
Some games will be available to play starting today, while others will be available next week. Specifically, you’ll be able to dive into Blue Prince and EA Sports PGA Tour today, April 10. Every other game is being made available on April 15. So, you’ll have to wait until next Tuesday to have access to all the new games for this month.
