The more compact and rather enticing OnePlus 13T turned heads on its recent announcement, but OnePlus has just confirmed that the device won’t be launching in the United States or Europe.
The OnePlus 13T is effectively just a smaller version of the OnePlus 13, one of the best Android flagships in recent memory. It has the same powerful specs, somehow an even bigger battery, and more all wrapped up in a more compact size that has a 6.32-inch display. For fans that have been clamoring for better “small” phones, this one seems like a dream come true.
But the OnePlus 13T was initially only announced for China. Earlier today, OnePlus revealed that the device would also be coming to India as the OnePlus 13S. It just won’t be going much farther than that.
While OnePlus has not ruled out a wider launch, the company has confirmed to The Verge that the OnePlus 13T and the OnePlus 13S will not be launching in Europe or the United States and Canada.
This doesn’t come as a massive surprise – we recently discussed how this might happen given the silence around a global launch for this device – especially in the uncertainty around tariffs in the US and about a million other factors, but it remains a shame. While Samsung and Google both offer devices around the same size, the massive battery inside of the OnePlus 13T alone was reason to be excited about it. Hopefully, things will change in the future. While dashing our hopes of a wider launch, OnePlus did say that “we have noted the interest in the product from our… users, and we will keep it in mind as we make product launch decisions going forward.”
