Motorola Razr (2025)

The Moto Razr 2025 will be released next week, but you can already score a fantastic discount. I don’t typically expect flip phones to be free with a carrier discount, but that’s precisely what Total Wireless offers with this limited-time deal. If you port in your number and sign up for a 3-month Total 5G plan, you can pick up a Moto Razr 2025 for free. If you’re already looking to switch carriers, this is a great way to pick up a stylish phone for less.

This is one of the most aggressive carrier deals I’ve seen on a device that has yet to be released. Yes, there are conditions, and you do have to purchase one of the more expensive Total Wireless plans, but the trade-off may be worth it.

Why you should buy a Moto Razr 2025

I’ll have a review of the Moto Razr 2025 in the next couple of weeks, but from what I know from the announced spec sheet and from last year’s Razr, this year’s edition should be another winner. The Razr’s design is mostly unchanged from last year, but that’s not bad. I enjoy that Moto put a usable display on the front of its less-expensive flip phone, and I could respond to text messages and scroll Facebook on last year’s outer screen without issue. And, unlike Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series, I don’t need Good Lock to use apps on the outer display immediately.

This year, the Razr 2025 is more durable, as Motorola added an IP48 rating and improved the hinge for reliability. Under the hood, the Razr 2025 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X. I had no problems with the 7300X in last year’s Razr, and while you need to keep expectations in check, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the performance. I don’t plan on editing videos or playing graphically intensive games on my Razr 2025, but it should perform well for daily tasks and light gaming.

I also expect strong battery life with the Moto Razr 2025. The company increased the battery capacity to 4,500mAh, which should provide all-day usage on a single charge. When it’s time to top off, the Razr 2025 has 30W wired or 15W wireless charging. All told, the Moto Razr 2025 is shaping up to be another excellent smartphone experience, and it’s even better when you can pick one up for free.
