The Galaxy S25 Ultra Gets A Teardown, Revealing Something Surprising

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra went through the obligatory trial by fire, the JerryRigEverything durability test, and it passed. However, that was only the beginning. After that video went live, YouTube channel owner Jack Nelson posted his teardown of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and it revealed something rather surprising.

The teardown didn’t offer too many surprises. He unglued the backplate from the device, took out a couple dozen screws, took a look at the cameras, looked at the vapor chamber, and viewed other components.

One surprising thing we saw was just now easy it was to take out the battery. Nowadays, batteries are typically glued into place. This approach didn’t bother too many people, but folds who want to repair their phones will find this rather annoying. Well, Samsung didn’t glue the battery into place this time around. Zack was able to pull the battery out without any effort. So, that’s a good thing to see.

However, the one other discovery that the Zack found during the teardown.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra got a teardown, and it revealed something surprising

Overall, it was a pretty standard teardown video. Well, that is except for one thing. Much of the talk about the Galaxy S25 Ultra centers around the lack of Bluetooth features in the S Pen. The company took the Bluetooth features away after providing them for several years. It was a major bummer for Galaxy Note/S Ultra users around the world.

Well, in the teardown, Zack discovered that the Galaxy S25 Ultra still has the charging coil that would charge the battery in the S Pen if it had Bluetooth capabilities. There’s a tiny copper coil that sits above the tip of the S Pen that would automatically charge it once inserted.

This means that Samsung didn’t bother to remove it even though it removed the Bluetooth functionality from the S Pen. As pointed out in the video, there could be a chance that Samsung will release a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, a move like that would anger the user base more than anything else.
