The Biggest VR Showcase Is Back! Here’s Everything Announced

The VR Games Showcase just happened, folks, and all you VR heads out there should be stoked! In case you missed it, don’t worry. Here’s a rundown of the games and announcements you should check out.
1.) Forefront
This is an action-packed shooter which has you on the front lines. As a soldier, you’ll head right into battle against the enemy. From the trailer, it looks like your standard military FPS with all of the fixings. So, you’ll shoot enemies, dive off of buildings, and use different vehicles on land, air, and sea.
2.) Hitman: World of Assassination
The popular Hitman video game franchise is heading from the big screen to the… BIGGER screen; by that, we mean the world. IO Interactive has reimagined Hitman: World of Assassination for the PlayStation VR 2. So, you’ll be able to take on the role of Agent 47 like never before. PlayStation VR 2 support will launch on March 27th.
3.) Reave
This one is for you dark fantasy lovers. Reave is a multiplayer PvEvP extraction game that has a social element to it. You’ll raid and plunder different dungeons while avoiding the enemies. In the game, you’ll try your hardest to loot and extract what you found to keep it. Also, don’t be surprised if you find yourself fighting against enemy teams of players. This game is still in early development, so we should see more from it as time goes on. It will land on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR. Join the Reave Discord.
4.) Ghost Town
This is a trippy and creepy mystery game by Fireproof Studio. This is the company’s first original IP in a decade, and it looks like the company hasn’t lost its edge. You take on the role of Edith as she aims to figure out what’s going on. There are a ton of amazing and confounding visuals that make it look like this is going to be one for the history books.
5.) Memoreum
This is a sci-fi survival horror game, and it should give you the same vibe as Dead Space. It’s from Patient 8 Games, the game studio that brought the popular Return to Rapture mod for Half-Life Alyx. Now, the company is here with its first original IP. You’ll be shooting your way through ship-fulls of horrifying creatures that all want you dead. You’ll arm yourself with an arsenal of futuristic guns and do your best to survive. It will launch on PlayStation VR and Meta Quest.
6.) Prison Boss: Prohibition MR update
This isn’t a new game. However, the company behind it is launching a new update. It will bring Mixed Reality support to the Quest version of the game. In case you don’t know, Prison Boss: Prohibition is a game that has you producing items of dubious legality. These include beers, erotic magazines, cigarettes, and more. You’ll sell these items and try your hardest not to get caught. This game will gain MR support, so you’ll be able to play the game in your living room. You’ll also be able to play with your friends. You can join the discord and test the new alpha out on March 18th.
7.) Breaches update
Breaches, the multiplayer shooter is getting some new items, and the first one has landed. It’s the Clone Projector. This device will project a face decoy of you to trick your opponents. The update is available now.
8.) Zix
Coming to Quest and PC VR, this is an action-packed co-op action roguelike. Zix has you partnering with up to two players and traveling to strange and abstract worlds. You’ll fight a bunch of wild and creative enemies as you remix reality. The combat system in the game allows you to pull off insane combos. It’s launching in the fall, but you can wishlist on Steam and on Quest.
9.) Vendetta Forever for Steam VR
This is a crucially acclaimed action game that has you fighting, shooting, and slicing your way through enemies. The levels are all stylized and themed to give you a cinematic experience. Meat Space announced that this game is coming to Stear VR soon. That’s not all, as the company is adding new levels to the Steam VR update. The new levels will be available for Steam VR at launch, and they’ll come to Quest and PlayStation VR later via a free update. They’ll land on May 8th.
10.) Underdogs for PlayStation VR
Underdogs is a roguelike mech battler that has you blasting through enemies in a giant mech suit. This game, along with the buzz saw, sandboxer, combat, and anniversary version for the game. This version will also include full haptics for the controller. You’ll be able to download the digital version of the game on March 25th. If you want the physical version, you’ll need to wait a little longer, April 4th.
11.) Slender: The Arrival for VR
If you thought that the passage of time and a bad movie have killed Slender Man, you’re wrong. The new game in the franchise is coming to PlayStation VR 2, Steam VR, and Meta Quest this spring. The original Slender: The Arrival launched back in 2013, and people have been clamoring for it to land for VR. This game will take you deeper into a story established by the original Sender.
12.) Gorn 2
If you’re looking for your fill of gratuitous blood and gore, then look no further than Gorn 2. The sequel to the hyper-violent VR gladiator fighter. The first Gorn launched for the Oculus Quest in 2021, and people have been waiting for the next game. In the game, you’ll… well, you’ll cut, crush, behead, and mutilate your opponents until the entire arena is covered in blood. You’ll be able to satisfy your blood lust on Quest, PlayStation VR, Steam VR later in the year.
13.) Exoshock
With gritty stylized graphics, intense bloody action, and enemies around every corner, Exoshock should be on your list of games. It’s a futuristic co-op FPS from VRAL. It takes inspiration from games such as Warhammer 40K, Halo, Helldivers 2, and Fear. You can try out the closed early access version of the game. 14.) Stay Forever Home
This is a pet simulator that promises to deliver a deep and engaging experience. The company that developed this game is composed of former Meta workers. The gameplay revolves around an animal named Ember. You’ll establish a connection with the pet. You’ll explore the world with Ember and bring her into your home via Mixed Reality. It’s coming on April 3rd.
15.) Penguin Festival
This is a cute and cartoonish interactive world that has you exploring Arctic environments as a penguin. You’ll build things, buy items, have snowball fights, and much more.
16.) Titan Isles
Titan Isles takes place in a futuristic environment. It has you battling robotic creatures and exploring alien lands.
17.) Deep Cuts
Deep Cuts is a physics-based game that has you searching for your partner. You’ll travel through several movie-themed worlds. While on your way, you’ll fight off all sorts of malfunctioning robots. It’s a deep and engaging story. This game is available to play on Meta Quest headsets today for $29.99.
18.) Flat2VR Studio announcement
Flat2VR Studio announced some new projects coming to the VR space. One of which is a magical adventure named ShadoeGate: The Mines Of Mythrok. Next, there’s RoboQuest VR. This game is coming in at the Fall. This is a stylized FPS where you face off against hordes of killer robots.
The studio also announced the VR adaptation of Out Of Sight, Surviving Mars: Pioneer, and Postal 2.
