Some Markets May Get A Pixel 9a Bundled With A Google TV Streamer

Google’s Pixel 9a is no doubt close to release, and while it’s still unclear what official deals Google might offer when the phone launches, a new rumor is suggesting that there will be a Google TV Streamer bundle available for select markets. Google typically offers bundle deals when it launches new phones, but these promotions aren’t always a blanket offer for every region.

This is supposedly the case with this Google TV Streamer bundle. If the rumor about the promotional offer is accurate, then perhaps Google is trying to boost the user numbers of its Google TV Streamer in those markets. The why of it all is purely speculation, but that would make sense.

The Pixel 9a is suspected to be getting a full reveal within the next week, so Google may offer up some information on potential bundles at that time.

The Pixel 9a will have a free Google TV Streamer bundle in Europe

According to the rumor, which comes from Roland Quandt on Bluesky, Google will be offering a free Google TV Streamer to Pixel 9a buyers in Europe. Quandt states that this offer will be available in certain markets. However, he also specifically mentions “Euroland.” This suggests that at least some countries in Europe will get this promotional offer. It isn’t clear if this bundle will be available in other regions.

Then again, this bundle hasn’t been confirmed yet, either. It’s also unclear if there will be other device bundles for other markets where this one isn’t offered. That being said, it has been rumored that Google will offer some other non-hardware perks. Including free YouTube Premium, Fitbit Premium, and Google One subscriptions when you buy the phone.

The purchase may have to be made through select Google partners

While this bundle sounds like a good deal, it does have one other caveat. Consumers may have to purchase the Pixel 9a through select Google partners. That means you won’t be able to buy the phone just anywhere. Which partners will offer the bundle isn’t mentioned either.

The Google TV Streamer retails for €119 in Europe. The Pixel 9a is rumored to start at €549. Buying the two separately would cost you €668, provided the pricing for the phone is accurate. That sounds like a pretty good reason to buy the phone wherever the bundle promo is offered. That is, if you were planning to buy a Google TV Streamer and you like saving money.
