Some Galaxy S25 Ultra’s AI-Powered Camera Features Leaked
Samsung doesn’t typically pack new camera hardware into its flagship smartphones every year. The company instead optimizes the same hardware for several years, similar to the approach of the Google Pixel phones. This lets the company make visible improvements to the camera quality of the Galaxy flagship phones every year. A new leak has revealed some of the Galaxy S25 Ultra‘s new AI-powered camera features.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the most premium model in Samsung’s next-gen flagship phone lineup. So, the firm has some exclusive camera features lined up that won’t make it to the vanilla, Plus, or Slim variants in the series. According to tipster Ahmed Qwaider on X/Twitter, the phone will have noticeably better video quality, an improved macro mode, and more.
Galaxy S25 Ultra could be packed with several new AI camera features
A previous report from Ice Universe already tipped that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will offer noticeably better video recording than previous generations. The Snapdragon 8 Elite’s power will enable such improvements, so they won’t make it to the Galaxy S24 series. Now, the latest leak says something similar stating that Samsung will use AI-powered technology to enable videos with better quality and less noise.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra could also offer an improved macro mode through the ultra-wide sensor. Macro shots will have up to 4x the quality of previous models, the source claims. The post mentions an “Auto Eraser” feature for removing unwanted sounds during video recording as well.
Samsung could also add more possibilities to adjust parameters while recording video on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This includes tweaking colors without stopping raw footage recording. Last but not least, the Galaxy S25 might let you switch between camera sensors while recording without lags or cuts.
The South Korean giant will announce the Galaxy S25 series on January 22 at the first Unpacked event of 2025.
