Samsung’s “smart Board” Offers Circle To Search On Huge Displays
Contents
Samsung pioneered the integration of Circle to Search on Android mobile devices. The company debuted it on the Galaxy S24 series last year. Since then, the feature has been reaching more Galaxy phones and tablets, as well as products from other brands. Now, Samsung has announced a smart board that integrates Circle to Search into huge displays.
Circle to Search is very useful for getting instant results and matches on something in particular. Not only that, but it is even capable of translating text into other languages from within any app, whether you are viewing an image, a document, or a website. This versatility seems especially useful for the educational environment, and Samsung has taken notice. At an education expo, the South Korean giant has launched an “AI-powered” interactive display or digital whiteboard.
Samsung has launched huge smart displays with Circle to Search for classrooms
The product aims to replace traditional (and boring) whiteboards with an interactive display that supports multiple features to enhance the learning experience. It will be available in 65-, 75-, and 86-inch screen sizes, ensuring a wide interaction area for both teachers and students.
As for the tech specs, Samsung has included what is necessary for the “smart board” to smoothly run features like Circle to Search and its Galaxy AI suite. There is an unknown octa-core chipset along with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Circle to Search will streamline classes by allowing the teacher to quickly access things of interest to students. It also supports features like AI summary (for automatic lesson recaps), live transcription, file conversion, and integration with Google Drive and Google Classroom.
Although it supports a lot of AI, the built-in NPU is not too powerful—4 TOPs. However, most of the built-in AI features rely on the cloud to run rather than local processing. Other notable specs include a camera that can capture 4K video and 20W speakers.
No details on price and availability yet
Samsung hasn’t revealed the price of its AI-powered smart board. But it’s a product aimed primarily at the education sector, and it probably won’t be cheap. After all, these are giant touchscreens we’re talking about.
In related news, Samsung will announce the Galaxy S25 series tomorrow. The brand’s next-gen series of flagship phones are expected to include both Circle to Search and new AI-powered features, with some even said to be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
