Samsung’s Playing It Safe—Too Safe—With Galaxy S25 FE Cameras

Contents
Some additional Samsung Galaxy S25 FE information just surfaced, this time it’s related to the phone’s cameras. To be more accurate, this report talks about the phone’s ultrawide and telephoto cameras.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE to have disappointing telephoto & ultrawide cameras
This info comes from GalaxyClub, the same source that shared the phone’s main and selfie camera info recently. The source claims that the Galaxy S25 FE will feature an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Needless to say, that’s not good news. That’s the same camera the Galaxy S24 FE has, and it’s not good. 8-megapixel cameras should not be a thing in 2025, especially not for smartphones in this price range.
In regard to its ultrawide camera, Samsung seemingly opted for a 12-megapixel unit. That one could also be identical to the one on the Galaxy S24 FE, but we’re only guessing. Samsung could change something, even though the Galaxy S24 FE also has a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera.
It will come with an upgraded selfie camera, though
What the source shared earlier is the fact that the phone will come with an upgraded selfie camera, a 12-megapixel unit. The Galaxy S24 FE, as a reminder, has a 10-megapixel selfie snapper.
The phone will also include a 50-megapixel main camera on the back. Its predecessor has a 50-megapixel main camera too, but we don’t know if something will change on the new model, or will everything stay the same.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is tipped to utilize the Exynos 2400 processor. That chip is supposed to replace the Exynos 2400e used in the Galaxy S24 FE.
Based on everything we’ve seen thus far, the Galaxy S25 FE won’t exactly be a big upgrade compared to its predecessor. Samsung will rely on small upgrades this time around. The device is expected to arrive around September, if something doesn’t change in the meantime.
