Samsung’s Next Foldables Could Come With A Powerful Google AI Pro Bonus

Samsung is all set to launch its next generation of foldable phones. The company is expected to hold its fifth Unpacked 2025 event in a few weeks (July). In the meantime, leaks—and lately, Samsung itself—have revealed many key details about these devices. A new report suggests that the purchase of a Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Galaxy Z Flip 7 will include a free promo with access to advanced Google’s AI features.
The information comes courtesy of an Android Authority teardown of the very latest Google app beta update (version 16.23.69.sa.arm64). These deep dives often reveal hidden clues about future features and partnerships. This time, the findings strongly suggest that Samsung’s upcoming foldable flagships will be eligible for access to Google AI (potentially the “AI Pro” plan).
This isn’t an entirely new strategy for a premium phone. We’ve seen similar bundled promotions with other top-tier smartphones. For instance, the Pixel 9 series and even Samsung’s own Galaxy S25 lineup have offered comparable deals. In fact, Galaxy S25 users enjoyed a six-month trial of Gemini Advanced, which is now known as Google AI Pro. This past precedent makes the likelihood of a similar offer for the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 even stronger. Samsung itself recently offered a free year of Perplexity Pro to eligible Galaxy phones in the US as well.
The leak signals the high probability of this AI freebie. However, the exact duration of the free service remains a mystery for now. Will it be a generous six months like the S25, or perhaps a different trial length? We’ll have to wait and see.
Rumors are pointing towards an early July launch for Samsung’s new foldables. If that timeline holds true, we’re just weeks away from getting official confirmation on all the details—including this potential Google AI Pro promo for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. This bundle highlights the importance that Samsung places on advanced AI features as part of its current smartphone flagship.
According to recent reports, Samsung is also looking to diversify its mobile AI offering. The company doesn’t yet have its own AI-powered chatbot, so it relies on Google’s Gemini. However, the South Korean giant could make a major investment in Perplexity this year. The move could even lead to Perplexity being the AI-powered assistant on the Galaxy S26 series next year.
