Summary
- The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, a slimmer version of the S25 series with a 6.7-inch display, is now available for purchase nationwide.
- To achieve its thin 5.8mm profile and light 163g weight, the S25 Edge forgoes a telephoto lens and features a smaller 3,900mAh battery compared to other S25 models.
- Despite some compromises, the S25 Edge retains flagship-level performance with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, AMOLED display, 12GB RAM, and a 200MP main camera, starting at $1,100.
Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 Edge, which essentially blends the S25+’s aesthetic with an overall slimmer profile, is now officially available to purchase nationwide.
First teased all the way back at January’s S25 series Unpacked event, and ultimately unveiled at a virtual Unpacked event earlier this month, the device is now available to purchase directly through Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, and major retailers and carriers across the nation.

As a quick refresher, Samsung’s S25 Edge is part of the broader S25 series, albeit with a much slimmer profile (and specs). It features a 6.7-inch display, which is the same screen size as the Galaxy S25+, but with a slimmer and lighter build. The new device is just 5.8mm thick and weighs in at 163g. In comparison, the S25+ is 7.3mm thick and weighs 190g.
Samsung was able to achieve the incredibly slim profile by forgoing (and minimizing) some key components that we’ve come to expect from flagship devices in 2025. For starters, the S25 Edge flat out doesn’t have a telephoto lens, while the rest of the S25 series does.
Further, it features a small 3,900mAh battery, which is even smaller than the base S25’s cell. Otherwise, though, it features the same top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a bright AMOLED display, and the same 12GB RAM as the base S25 and S25+, paired with the S25 Ultra’s 200-megapixel main wide shooter.
