Samsung’s Galaxy Buds FE 2 Are Reportedly Under Development

Samsung has established a reputation for releasing the Fan Editions of its latest flagship smartphones in the Galaxy S series. After the phones, the company launched a Fan Edition of its wireless earbuds for the first time in 2023. Now, the South Korean tech giant is reportedly working on the successor to the Galaxy Buds FE. Ahead of an official announcement, a report suggests that the Galaxy Buds FE 2 earbuds are currently under development and could launch at some point later this year.

Samsung has reached a “fairly advanced stage” in the development of the Galaxy Buds FE 2

According to a report by GalaxyClub, Samsung is currently developing the Galaxy Buds FE 2 earbuds in a “fairly advanced stage.” The company is developing the new Fan Edition earbuds under the model number SM-R410. For comparison, Samsung released the earlier Galaxy Buds FE  with the model number SM-R400N. Given these similar model numbers, it’s quite possible that the SM-R410 could be a direct successor to the 2023 earbuds.

Unfortunately, the source hasn’t shared anything about the specifications of the Galaxy Buds FE 2 at the moment. As of now, there’s no official word from Samsung regarding the release date of the next-gen Fan Edition earbuds. However, a launch before the end of this year sounds likely. Samsung could possibly launch them this fall, two years after launching the original Fan Editions earbuds.

Since the development of the Galaxy Buds FE 2 variant is at an advanced stage of development, we may find them on market shelves before the summer. The company could launch the new earbuds alongside the Galaxy Z Flip FE and/or the Galaxy Tab S10 FE models.

Samsung’s new FE earbuds could carry the same price tag

If you are looking to buy an affordable pair of wireless earbuds with a decent audio experience, then the original Galaxy Buds FE is worth considering. These are available for $99. If we believe the report, Samsung could offer the upcoming Galaxy Buds FE 2 variant at the same price tag as the original model. Since the company hasn’t officially announced anything, we will have to wait for the rumor mill to share more details about the upcoming earbuds.
