Samsung’s upcoming foldables, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, are expected to grace the main stage sometime next month. As is the case every year, the new devices are making several regulatory certification stops, and this time around, there’s a new device accompanying the next-gen foldables.
Alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Z Fold 7, Samsung is also expected to launch its first-ever Fan Edition (FE) foldable at Unpacked next month.

The FE flip phone has been leaked extensively in the past few weeks, and now, the device’s recent FCC stop all but confirms its US availability.
Pointed out by SammyGuru, the listing highlights the device with the model number SM-F761U. That is the same model number spotted in previous Z Flip 7 FE leaks. The device passed the necessary regulatory hurdles on June 9, which means it is now approved to be sold in the US.
The document lists tests for “UNII 6G,” which suggests that the FE flip phone will support Wi-Fi 6e, while it’s expected to support several 5g bands, including n5, n7, n12, n25, n26, n30, n41, n66, n70, n71, n77, n78. WPT tests suggest that the device will support wireless charging, while NFC support for Google Pay and Samsung Pay is also confirmed.

Similarly, as pointed out by 91Mobiles, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has also made the same customary FCC stop, showing up as model SM-F966B. The approval was granted on June 6, highlighting Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support, paired with support for Wi-Fi 6e.
More importantly, the listing confirms that the top-of-the-line foldable will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This will likely be a “for Galaxy” overclocked version of the chip.
Elsewhere, from what we already know, the flagship foldable is expected to don a much slimmer look. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 measures 12.2mm folded and 6.1mm in when unfolded. The upcoming flagship could measure just 9mm thick when folded and 4.54mm when unfolded.
Samsung’s next Unpacked is reportedly scheduled for early next month in New York City.
