Yesterday, Samsung confirmed that it will launch new handsets on March 2. The smartphones will be part of the Galaxy A 2025 lineup. It’s quite possible that Samsung will at least introduce the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 on that date. Meanwhile, a big leak has revealed the tech specs, renders, and even pricing of the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26.

Samsung has not yet officially revealed which handsets it will announce on March 2. However, the South Korean giant launched the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 in March 2024. That said, leaks in recent weeks have included the Galaxy A26, which opens the door for the company to announce this affordable variant alongside the A36 and A56. For reference, Samsung launched the Galaxy A25 in December 2023. It’s been over a year since then, so the firm seems to be waiting for the perfect moment.

Big leak includes tech specs, pricing, and images of the Samsung Galaxy A56, A36, and A26

Anyway, WinFuture has shared a ton of details related to Samsung’s upcoming phones. Starting with the design, the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 follow pretty similar guidelines. The firm abandons some of the minimalism of recent years in favor of integrating a proper rear camera island. Now, a pill-shaped vertical module houses the sensors. They are not separate camera rings like those on the Galaxy S25 series, but a single piece.

The Galaxy A56 and A36 look very similar on the front. There are asymmetrical bezels—the bottom bezel is slightly thicker than the others—surrounding the display. A punch hole for the front camera sensor is also present. The Galaxy A26 is the model that stands out the most in this regard, integrating a waterdrop notch and noticeably thicker bezels. The report claims that only the Galaxy A56 will boast a metal frame.

All three phones will have the same screen size, resolution, and brightness, the source claims. That is, you will find a 6.7-inch display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2340px) resolution with a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. The Galaxy A56 will have a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus to protect its display. On the other hand, the A36 uses Gorilla Glass 7+, and it is unknown which protective glass the A26 will use.

Exynos and Snapdragon chips

The Galaxy A56 will be powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset and 8GB of RAM. The company will reportedly not offer variants with 12GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Galaxy A36 will use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip assisted by 6/8GB of RAM. The Galaxy A26 has a more humble Exynos 1380 SoC along with 6/8GB of RAM.

In the camera department, all models will have a 50MP main sensor (f/1.8 aperture and OIS). However, it is quite possible that they will be different sensors, at least in the case of the A26. The Galaxy A56 and A36 could share a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, while the A26’s could be only 8 MP. All three handsets could have macro sensors (5 MP in the A56 and A36, 2 MP in the A26). For the selfie department, the A56 and A36 could boast a 12 MP front camera. On the other hand, future Galaxy A26 users could have a 13 MP front camera with more resolution but probably less image quality.

The Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 will share a 5,000 mAh battery. The A56 and A36 will support wired charging up to 45W, while the Galaxy A26 will be stuck at 25W. Samsung is still hesitant to bring wireless charging to its mid-rangers, it seems. Anyway, the Galaxy A36 and A26 offer something the A56 doesn’t: a 3.5mm audio jack.

Samsung may not raise prices

The leak not only includes specs but even prices for the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26. According to the source, they will start at €479, €379, and €299 in Europe, respectively. This means that prices will remain the same as the previous generation, which is good news.
