It’s becoming much more common for Samsung to offer these boosted trade-in deals for devices, but the key is waiting until these deals are live, considering they’re actually very good. Right now, Samsung is making it possible to grab the Galaxy Watch Ultra for as little as $250.
During the sale, Samsung is offering an astounding amount for Galaxy Watch trade-ins. At the highest, users can get $400 off of the new Galaxy Watch Ultra by trading in their Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. This is more than the $350 off we saw back in October. At the time, that deal was the best that we had seen on the Watch Ultra, but this deal is even better.
Samsung is offering a discount one of two ways: trade-ins or no trade-ins. Even if you don’t have a Galaxy Watch to send in, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is automatically $230 off, which brings it down to $419. That isn’t bad, and it’s still one of the best deals we’ve seen without a trade-in. Considering that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is $649 at the base level, that slashed price isn’t awful at all.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be the most valuable trade for the Watch Ultra, but Samsung’s other offers are worth looking into. For instance, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will get you $350 off of the Watch Ultra, while the Galaxy Watch 6 will get you $300. We’ll include a more detailed list below for comparison.
Trade-in | Discount off of Galaxy Watch Ultra |
---|---|
Galaxy Watch 6 Classic | $350 |
Galaxy Watch 5 Pro | $350 |
Galaxy Watch 6 | $300 |
Galaxy Watch 5 | $275 |
Galaxy Watch 4 Classic | $200 |
Galaxy Watch 4 | $150 |
Samsung likes to compare the boosted trade prices to the ones that it usually offers, but the generic offers without sale periods are just sad. The website notes that a normal trade-in price for the Watch 6 Classic is just $57, but that’s just wrong. Still, $400 back for that watch is not a bad deal.
It’s also worth noting that the Galaxy Watch 7 is down to $129 with the right trade-in. This isn’t as good as we’ve seen, but it’s worth looking into if you don’t want to commit to the Watch Ultra.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is easily one of our favorite smartwatches and has since taken the top spot on my wrist after using the Galaxy S25 since its release. It’s the best Wear OS sports watch, though it definitely looks the part for better or for worse.
