Following availability of the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36 in the US this week, Samsung has also finally detailed the Galaxy A56 which the company said would expand to the States “later this year.”
Like the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36, the Galaxy A56 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ display paired with a 5,000 mAh battery. It’s powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset and has between 6GB and 12GB of RAM depending on what model you select. It features IP67 dust/water resistance, Android 15 with six years of updates and One UI 7 out of the box, and has the best cameras of the latest Galaxy A bunch with a 50MP main rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro. There’s another 12MP shooter for selfies too.
In Ireland, one region where Samsung has listed Galaxy A56 for sale, the device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for €559.00, €100 more than Galaxy A36 (which retails for $399 in the US). In the region, Samsung is also throwing in a Galaxy Fit 3 for free and a free 45W fast charger.
Galaxy A56 colors include “Awesome Lightgrey,” “Awesome Olive,” Awesome Pink,” and “Awesome Graphite.”

Samsung previously announced that the Galaxy A56 would be launching in the US “later this year.”
Galaxy A26 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A56 5G join A16 5G as the newest devices in the A series portfolio… Galaxy A56 5G will be available later this year starting at $499.99.
As mentioned, the Galaxy A56 is already available as of today in many international regions, while only Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26 are available in the US.
