Samsung Has A New Kids Experience For The Galaxy Watch 7
Nowadays, most kids are exposed to technology at a young age. This could possibly have negative outcomes, but Samsung is looking to address that. Just before its latest Unpacked event, Samsung announced a new kids experience for the Galaxy Watch 7.
On Wednesday, Samsung is to announce the new Galaxy S25 phones during its latest Unpacked event. Rumors also point to the company showing off its XR headset which will go on to revolutionize the XR market. Along with those rumors, some even suggested that we’ll hear about the Galaxy S25 “Slim” that Samsung has been working on. If this is true, then this will be the most exciting Unpacked event in quite some time.
Samsung announced a new kids mode for the Galaxy Watch 7
It’s important to keep an eye on the kind of content your kids have access to. This is why there are tools out there that give parents the ability to control and monitor the content that their kids can see.
Bear in mind, this is only for the LTE version of the Galaxy Watch 7. Samsung has a way for parents to keep their kids safe through their smartwatch. Parents can easily set this up through their phones. What’s neat is that the kid doesn’t need a smartphone in order for this to work.
When set up, parents will be able to see where their child is through location sharing. This is the main reason why kids would need the LTE version. They’ll need constant connectivity.
Parents will also be able to manage the contacts that their kids will be able to communicate with. This way, they’ll know everyone they’re interacting with.
Lastly, parents will be able to closely monitor their child’s daily activities. This could be useful to see what their children get up to on a daily basis.
This is a good idea, but it just seems odd that the company is using this for the pricey LTE version of its flagship smartwatch. Kids aren’t likely to own a smartwatch, let alone one as advanced as the Galaxy Watch 7.
