Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Will Be Lighter Than You Think

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be lighter than you think. A well-known tipster, Ice Universe, said that the phone will be lighter than even the Galaxy S25. That is kind of unexpected.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will be lighter than you think, it would seem

Samsung’s vanilla Galaxy S25 model weighs only 162 grams. The Galaxy S25+, on the other hand, weighs 190 grams. Considering that the Galaxy S25 Edge is said to feature a 6.7-inch display like the Galaxy S25+, we expected it to weigh more than what is said here.

Based on Ice Universe’s information, though, the phone will weigh less than 162 grams. That is quite interesting, and it will be an odd feeling in the hand after all the heavy phones, to be quite honest.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is said to launch “around April” and become available soon after that in Q2 2025. The phone was teased by Samsung during the first Unpacked event back in April.

This smartphone will be only 5.84mm thick, as Samsung decided to go with the thinner model of the two that it had. The other variant was 6.4mm thick and had three cameras on the back. The one the company chose will have two.

A 3,900mAh battery is tipped to be included on the inside

That smartphone is also tipped to include similar specs to the Galaxy S25+ and a 3,900mAh. So its battery pack won’t really be impressive, which will also help Samsung to achieve the desired weight.

A 200-megapixel main camera was mentioned in one of the reports. That is quite interesting, as the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the only phone in the series that uses that camera.

The phone is expected to offer a similar design to the Galaxy S25+. A centered display camera hole is expected on the front, along the top, while its sides will likely be flat.
