Samsung has promised that its long-awaited rollout of One UI 7 will start on April 7, but the beta isn’t done just yet, as the Galaxy A55 has just joined the party.
As confirmed by Galaxy A55 owners on Samsung’s forums in Korea, the One UI 7 beta has arrived for the 2024 midranger. The beta appears to only be available in Korea for the time being, but will likely expand to other regions in the near future.
This is the first mid-range device Samsung has offered a One UI 7 beta for, and it’s also probably the last device that will get a beta program in general.
Samsung previously announced that One UI 7 will start rolling out its stable update on April 7 in some countries, starting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Other devices will follow over time, eventually including various Galaxy A devices such as the Galaxy A55. A previous schedule that Samsung posted suggests the Galaxy A55 will get its stable update in May based on the timeline of other devices.
