Just days after rolling out One UI 7 Beta 4 for Galaxy S24 devices, Samsung is already rolling out Beta 5 in some regions as users continue to wait on the company’s Android 15 update.
Samsung first released its Android 15 beta, One UI 7, in December 2024, far later than its usual schedule. The beta program has been ongoing for a while now, with no sign of a full release coming up soon. Samsung hasn’t even expanded the beta program to other Galaxy devices.
The third One UI 7 beta update was launched in early January, with over a month between that and the fourth beta release, which dropped earlier this week. That’s why it’s such a surprise that, already, Beta 5 has been released.
Spotted by Jeff Springer (of SammyGuru) as well as SamMobile, this fifth update is significantly smaller than others, weighing in at just 436.20MB. The update doesn’t have much of a changelog, only noting a fix for a “VVM crash issue,” presumably referring to visual voicemail features.
This comes following a comment on Samsung’s forums led some to believe that Samsung had ended the One UI 7 beta program entirely.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that at least one more One UI 7 beta will be coming, with the full release not coming until around April.
