Samsung Care+ With Theft & Loss Now Includes Unlimited Free Screen Repairs For Galaxy Devices [U]

Samsung has announced that its Care+ extended warranty service will start to include free screen repairs for Galaxy devices starting in January 2025.

Samsung Care+ is an way to get extended coverage on Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and watches, with replacements and repairs in the case of damage, or even theft on some plans. Essentially, it’s Apple Care, but for Samsung devices.

In the case of a broken screen repair, though, you’ll often still pay a little more even if you have Samsung Care+, just with a significant discount over the usual price. Prices start at $29 per cracked screen.

Starting in January, though, Samsung is adding “Zero Dollar Screen Repairs” to Care+. The new perk is an automatic addition for subscribers and includes main-in, walk-in, and repairs at stores. It covers the front screen and back glass, but seemingly not the folding displays on Galaxy Z Fold and Flip devices.

The catch? Samsung says this will only apply to the “Care+ with Theft and Loss” plan, which is the more expensive option.

The company explains in an email to Care+ subscribers:

Effective January 15, 2025, Samsung and Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss will be introducing ZERO DOLLAR SCREEN REPAIRS. This coverage will apply to damages that impact the front screen and back glass only. In addition to Mail-In Repair and Walk-In Repair options, Care+ customers will continue to have the option of screen repair at their location of choice.

Care+ customers with eligible plans* will automatically be eligible for this coverage after January 15, 2025.

The monthly cost of Care+ varies by device. Earlier this year, Samsung added unlimited battery replacements to the program.

Update 1/15/2025: Samsung has officially rolled out this new addition, explaining that Care+ with Theft and Loss subscribers now have “$0 unlimited same day repairs.” This is now reflected on Samsung’s website and the company says in a note to 9to5Google that this will apply to the company’s next release, the Galaxy S25, which is due to launch next week.

Reservations are open now for the Galaxy S25 series with a $50 credit and other additional savings. Samsung has often included Care+ perks with early pre-orders on past Galaxy releases as well.
