Redmagic’s 9-Inch OLED Android Tablet Reportedly Has A Huge Battery

While Lenovo’s Legion Tab sits mostly unchallenged in the small Android tablet space, Redmagic is cooking up a 9-inch tablet with an OLED display that’s already compelling, and a new battery spec makes it even more enticing.

Word first got out recently that Redmagic was working on a new 9-inch Android tablet that would be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite and an OLED display, an exciting combination. There’s been no official announcement yet, but leaker Digital Chat Station has some more details to share.

In a post on Weibo, DCS says that the tablet will have a display at 2400×1504, an aspect ratio near 16:10.

More interesting, though, is the apparently 8,240 mAh battery inside of Redmagic’s OLED tablet. That’s much larger than its size would suggest, and could lead to a tablet that holds up to intense games for hours on end. For cooling, it’s also mentioned that the Redmagic tablet would have a cooling fan, much like the brand’s existing 10.9-inch Redmagic Nova.

That’s opposed to Lenovo’s latest Legion Tab (Y700) which went up for sale this month in China. The 8.8-inch tablet not only still has an LCD display, but has a 7,600 mAh battery. Redmagic’s new tablet sounds like it will beat Lenovo on both of those specs, so it’ll be interesting to see how the two compare.
