Razer’s Blade Laptops Are No Longer For Sale At Its US Site

Summary: Razer has halted sales of the Blade 16 and Blade 18 through its US online store. The option to buy either laptop has been removed, with a button that says “notify me” taking its place. Halted US sales may not apply to retail partners.

Razer has reportedly halted sales of its lineup of Blade laptops on its US site, save for one model – the Blade 14. As of right now, if you try to buy Razer’s new Blade 16 laptop, you’re met with a “notify me” button instead of the button that says “buy now.” The same is true for the Blade 18.

It seems plausible that the Blade 14 is still available to buy because it’s an older model. It comes powered by the RTX 40-series GPUs, and Razer probably already has manufactured stock available in the US. Ready to sell. That being said, we’re merely speculating. Razer hasn’t provided any comment on the pause of its sales for new laptop models thus far. It may also never address the halting of sales on the US site, instead simply choosing to quietly resume them at a future date.

Halted US sales of the Razer Blade 16 and 18 conveniently happen before new tariffs take effect

As of right now, there’s no confirmation on why Razer has halted US sales of the Blade 16 or Blade 18. The Verge reportedly asked for clarification on the decision to stop direct sales to US consumers. But Razer’s only response so far has been that it has no comment on tariffs at this time. “We do not have a comment at this stage regarding tariffs,” Razer’s PR Manager Andy Johnston said.

Without drawing too many conclusions, the new tariffs that begin at midnight appear to be the likely reason. It only seems more likely when you factor in Nintendo’s decision to delay US pre-orders of the Switch 2 due to the tariffs. It’s also unclear if Razer’s decision to halt US sales could have anything to do with potential price increases.

For now, the only option to buy one of the new laptops is from a retail partner. That being said, Amazon may be the only one where adding to cart is even an option. Even then, Amazon directly states that it’s out of stock of the 5090-powered Blade 16. Consumers can still place the order, though, and get an email when there’s an estimated delivery date.

Razer has also halted US sales of the new laptop stand

It’s not just Blade laptops that you can’t buy from the US Razer store. Razer also announced a new laptop stand this morning, which was supposed to be available for purchase beginning April 8. Like the Blade 16 and Blade 18, however, it merely says notify me. This doesn’t appear to be happening to any other products. For example, Razer’s new Huntsman V3 Pro Mini keyboard that was announced back at the end of March, is availble.

As The Verge points out, all of these products are available in Razer’s Canadian online store and in other regions. So, it hasn’t halted sales everywhere. It’s not clear when Razer will resume sales of the new laptop stand or the Blade laptops in its US online store.
