The March 2025 Feature Drop also brings a handful of updates to the Pixel Watch across health.
An improved algorithm lets all Pixel Watch models track steps with greater precision and accuracy. Specifically, it better recognizes when you’re doing something other than walking, like jogging with a stroller, pushing a shopping cart or wheelchair, and hiking with poles.
Meanwhile, the Pixel Watch 3 is adding on-device menstrual tracking to log periods, view cycle status, and predict your next period.

Google is also highlighting how Loss of Pulse Detection is rolling out in the US later this month following US Food and Drug Administration approval. The Pixel Watch 3 will detect when your heart stops due to a primary cardiac arrest, respiratory or circulatory failure, overdose, or poisoning. It will call emergency services if you don’t acknowledge a warning message.
Auto Bedtime Mode is coming to the Pixel Watch 2 with this March Feature Drop to automatically detect when you’ve fallen asleep. This will turn off your watch face, disable notifications, and conserve battery life. It disables when you wake up and move.
Google also notes:
Manage your favorite audio content with new actions on Pixel Watch to fast forward and rewind, adjust playback speed or control playback queue.
