Pixel Screenshots

TL;DR

  • Pixel Screenshots is getting two welcome updates with the March 2025 Pixel Drop.
  • The feature will now suggest relevant screenshots to add to your collections.
  • The app is also rolling out to Pixel 9 users’ work profile.

Pixel Screenshots is among the most significant software additions to roll out with the Google Pixel 9 series. It turns the otherwise neglected screenshot feature into an innovative, AI-powered visual library. Now, with the March 2025 Pixel Drop, the feature is getting even more useful.

Pixel Screenshots will now automatically suggest that you add uncategorized screenshots to relevant collections. For instance, if you have a collection dedicated to baking, the app may recommend adding your latest screenshot of a cheesecake to it. The update should remove some of the annoyances of categorizing masses of screenshots and build on the existing organization improvements made in the December 2024 Pixel Drop.

Suggestions can be found at the top of your various collection pages. And, if you don’t want to add a screenshot to a collection, you can tap the X button to discard it.

We’ve found Pixel Screenshots particularly useful for personal content curation, but Google is also extending the app’s availability to users’ work profiles, too. This will make separating workplace content, like lunch receipts, from personal content more manageable.
