Pixel 9 Gets 11 Fixes With Android 15 QPR2, OTAs Live

The second (and final) big update to Android 15 is rolling out today with QPR2 and it contains a number of fixes for the Pixel 9 series and older supported Google phones.

For starters, the factory and OTA images are now available about two hours after the Feature Drop. We’re now seeing the on-device OTAs (638 MB on a Pixel 9 Pro). Notably, we get release notes that highlight three features:

• Connected Cameras: Connect your Pixel phone with a GoPro or other Pixel phone camera, and use popular social apps to stream from different angles for more professional-looking and immersive videos.
• Find your family and friends: The Find My Device app now lets you send your location and receive the location of your friends and family. So you can rest easy knowing where they are, or that they got where they were going safely.
• Auto transcribe in the Recorder app: If you choose, you can transfer audio recordings from previous phones or your Pixel Watch to your Pixel and automatically transcribe and save them to the Recorder app.
