CES is in full swing, and plenty of the top brands in the tech industry are showing off their latest and greatest tech. Among the announcements, we had a torrent of new TVs. Panasonic showed off its newest OLED TVs at CES, and one of them is the Z95B.
Panasonic is a tech company with an influence all across the tech industry. So, it should be no surprise that it has several lines of OLED smart TVs on the market. The company recently released some new TVs just a couple of months ago. However, Panasonic wasn’t finished with its launches, as it brought some TVs over to CES.
Just four months after launching the Panasonic Z95A, Panasonic showed off the Z95B. After less than half a year later, you wouldn’t think that there would be any notable changes. However, Panasonic pointed to several innovations that make the newest version better.
For starters, this new TV has a better cooling system over its four-month-old predecessor. Called the ThermalFlow aerodynamic cooling system, it promises to keep the TV cooler while it’s in use. Panasonic says that this technology was inspired by techniques seen in racecar design. That’s a pretty odd comparison, but if it works, it works.
New panel
Along with that, Panasonic boasts a new Primary RGB Tandem Panel. We didn’t get too many details on how this will improve the overall picture. However, it’s worth launching a new iteration just four months later, apparently.
While it uses a new panel, the processor powering the TV is the same. The Panasonic Z95B uses the HCX Pro MK II AI processor. So, you’ll get the same level of performance as last year’s version. You won’t get the same speaker performance, however. The company redesigned the speakers, and the company says that the TV will offer an immersive experience.
Rounding out the specs, the Panasonic Z95B supports Dolby Vision IQ, AMD FreeSync Premium, and Nvidia G-Sync. Along with that, it has a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. This TV will launch in the US with a 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch model.
