Oppo had a big event in China today, announcing many new impressive products with limited global availability. The lineup included new phones, earphones, a tablet, and a new smartwatch. While others are unlikely to be available in the West, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini just might.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra was the star of the show, while the Find X8s is likely to be the base for the upcoming OnePlus 13T. Similarly, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini might be on its way outside of China as the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini.

The regular OnePlus Watch 3 is now available in the US for $500 — a whopping $170 increase over its intended price of $330 when it was announced in February. If that hike disappointed you, there might be a reprieve on the horizon. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini will be rebadged as the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini “in India and globally”.
This bit ties in with an earlier confirmation from OnePlus, where a spokesperson during the Watch 3’s launch said that there will be another smartwatch from the brand later this year that will be smaller and bring cellular connectivity support. Since OnePlus and Oppo often split products between markets, Abhishek’s leak seems quite plausible.
Priced at CNY 1,529 in China, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini has a smaller 43mm dial and accepts standard 18mm straps. Its AMOLED screen has a peak brightness of 2200 nits. The design is IP68 rated with 5ATM water resistance. Notably, it brings eSIM support that the OnePlus Watch 3 lacks.
Other Oppo Watch X2 Mini specs include the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset with 2GB of RAM, paired with a secondary BES2800 MCU chip for lighter tasks. Similarly, it runs on Wear OS 5 (with ColorOS Watch 7 atop), but can shift to RTOS for simpler tasks and longer battery life. In regular usage, Oppo claims up to 3 days of battery life, with up to 8 days in Power Saver mode.
There’s no official confirmation from OnePlus yet, so we might have to wait for a few months to learn more about the “OnePlus Watch 3 Mini”. But if it does, and if it is anywhere as good as the OnePlus Watch 3, it’s sure to be a hit.
