OPPO’s compact flagship, the OPPO Find X8 Mini, is said to launch in March with a customizable button. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters out there.
OPPO’s compact flagship is allegedly coming next month with a customizable button
That customizable button is expected to replace the alert slider, as yesterday’s report said. The tipster does mention that we’re looking at a “push-type three-stage button” here. If we had to guess we’d say it’ll sit on the right side of the phone, and be quite accessible.
Having said that, the tipster also mentioned some specs of the device. The OPPO Find X8 Mini i said to feature a 6.3-inch flat display, with a 2640 x 1216 resolution. It will be an LTPO AMOLED display.
OPPO will use the quad micro-curved design here, as it did with the OPPO Find X8 series. In other words, both its front and back sides will be slightly curved on all four sides, while the display will be flat.
The tipster also mentioned that the phone will feature a 50-megapixel “ultra-thin” periscope telephoto camera. Wireless charging was also mentioned, as was an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.
MediaTek’s most powerful chip is tipped to fuel the device
Now, based on previously leaked information, we know what else to expect from this phone. It will likely be fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, just like its siblings. That is the most powerful chip from MediaTek to date.
Android 15 is also expected, along with ColorOS 15. The phone is tipped to utilize a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor. A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera was also mentioned, as was a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (3.5x optical zoom). The camera info was also shared by Digital Chat Station.
Considering that it’s tipped to launch next month, it could arrive alongside the OPPO Find X8 Ultra. That device is also expected to arrive in March, as the company’s new flagship. We’re not sure if either of the two phones will make their way to global markets, though.
