OPPO Says Foldables Could Become Even Thinner Than Find N5

Contents
The OPPO Find N5 managed to shock many people with its slim profile. That is currently the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world. When you’re using it, it feels like a regular slab phone. With that being said, that’s not a limit, OPPO says that foldables could become even thinner than the Find N5.
OPPO believes that foldables can be even thinner than the Find N5
This information actually comes from Phone Arena, who managed to obtain that statement. OPPO said that it will make its future foldable(s) even thinner if the opportunity presents itself.
The thing is, one side of the Find N5 is almost as thin as the Type-C USB port itself. The company actually has to reinforce the USB-C port in order to hit that slim profile. One would think that’s the limit, but OPPO doesn’t think so.
The OPPO Find N5 comes less than a year and a half after the OPPO Find N3. In that time, the technology changed quite a bit, which allowed OPPO to create this phone. It is considerably thinner and lighter than its predecessor, not to mention that it also has much more battery capacity, faster wired charging, that it includes fast wireless charging, and more.
The OPPO Find N5 is extremely thin
It is amazing what the company managed to do in a span of one generation of this phone. The OPPO Find N5 is only 8.9mm thick when folded and 4.2mm thick when unfolded. It weighs 229 grams.
It is actually thinner than some slab phones that do not fold, like the Vivo X100 Ultra, for example. While it’s almost as thin as many other slab phones, and that’s saying a lot
OPPO even managed to offer much-improved water resistance to the phone and make it tougher overall while increasing its display size too. It really does make us wonder what the next generation will bring.
