Summary: OPPO announced the Find X8s and Find X8s+ high-end smartphones, in addition to the Find X8 Ultra. The Find X8s is actually a very powerful compact smartphone that managed to get a lot of attention. They launched only in China for now, and are fueled by the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor.

In addition to the OPPO Find X8 Ultra, the company announced two other high-end smartphones. The devices in question are the OPPO Find X8s and Find X8s+. Those two phones are the same except for their size (including display size), weight, and battery life.

The OPPO Find X8s is the company’s new high-end compact phone

Needless to say, the OPPO Find X8s is likely the more interesting one, as it packs a lot of power in a rather compact package. Let’s talk about the design first, before we get into the spec details.

The two phones look almost the same, other than the size difference and rear camera placement. The frame is flat all around, and the same goes for their front and back sides. Yes, both phones have flat displays and centered display camera hole. Thin bezels are also a part of the offering.

Both devices have camera oreos on the back

You’ll find a round camera module on the back, with three cameras inside it. There are four cutouts in that camera module, though the positioning is different between these two phones. Both camera modules do protrude on the back.

The power/lock and volume rocker buttons sit on the right-hand side of both phones. The all-new action button can be found on the left side, and it’s customizable. It’s here to replace the alert slider.

The OPPO Find X8s comes with a 6.32-inch display

The OPPO Find X8s features a 6.32-inch display, while the Find X8s+ has a 6.59-inch panel. The resolution is 2760 x 1256 on both of them, and both support a 120Hz refresh rate. These are AMOLED displays with high-frequency PWM dimming and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Dolby Vision is supported too.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ processor fuels both phones. That is an all-new 3nm chip from the company. It is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, depending on the model. UFS 4.0 flash storage variants of up to 1TB are available for both phones.

Android 15 comes pre-installed here, along with ColorOS 15. There are two SIM card slots here, nano SIM ones. Both phones are also IP68 and IP69 certified, and they feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster.

Large silicon-carbon batteries are included in both devices, along with fast charging

A 5,700mAh battery sits inside the OPPO Find X8s, while the Find X8s+ has a 6,000mAh battery included. Both phones support 80W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture, OIS) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (120-degree FoV, f/2.0 aperture) and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (3x optical zoom, OIS, f/2.8 aperture, 120x digital zoom).

The OPPO Find X8s measures 150.59 x 71.82 x 7.73mm, while it weighs 179 grams. The ‘Plus’ model measures 157.53 x 74.51 x 7.95mm and weighs 198 grams.

They come in different color options

The smaller phone comes in Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, Island Blue, and Cherry Blossom Pink colors. The larger one is available in Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, and Hyacinth Purple colors.

Do note that both of them were launched only in China, at least for now. The pricing for both starts at CNY4,199 ($571). It goes all the way up to CNY5,499 ($748) for the 16GB RAM models with 1TB of storage.
