OPPO has just officially confirmed a bunch of Find X8 Ultra specs. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone for those of you who are out of the loop. We’re still not sure if it will launch globally.

So, what happened? Well, Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known Chinese tipsters, shared the OPPO Find X8 Ultra specifications a while back. He’s usually quite accurate, so we had no reason to doubt him.
What we don’t see often, however, is a company’s exec using a tipster’s post to confirm information about devices. That’s exactly what Zhou Yibao from OPPO did, however. He’s the product manager of the OPPO Find series.
He left checkmarks next to each spec in Digital Chat Station’s report, after resharing his information. So, let’s just go right on it, as see what was confirmed.
It will have a flat QHD display, with curved glass on top of it
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra will have a QHD display, which will feature the quad micro-curved design. In other words, the glass on top of it will be slightly curved on all sides, while the display itself will be flat. The bezels will also be very thin.
An in-display fingerprint scanner has also been confirmed, an ultrasonic one. What Zhou Yibao also confirmed is that the phone will feature two periscope telephoto cameras, one with 3x optical zoom and the other with 6x optical zoom.

Furthermore, one of those telephoto cameras will also come with a macro function. That’s the right way to do macro photography, with a telephoto camera, so it’s nice to see that inclusion here.
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra will also support 100W fast wired charging, and include a 6,000mAh battery on the inside. That will be a silicon-carbon battery, of course. We also know that 80W wireless charging will be supported, thanks to an earlier confirmation.
That’s not all, though. Zhou Yibao also confirmed IP68 and IP69 certifications for the phone, great haptics, and the fact the phone will be 8.Xmm thick. The phone is expected to launch next month, in April.
