OnePlus is teasing the upcoming launch of the OnePlus Pad 3 which is said to come with some software updates such as a new Open Canvas upgrade and some form of iOS integration.
Through its social accounts in Europe, OnePlus has “announced” the OnePlus Pad 3, with the device launching on June 5. The new tablet gets a refreshed design that ditches the centered camera module and has a flat border around the sides.
What seems more interesting, though, is what’s coming in the software.
OnePlus says to expect “next-level multitasking” through an upgraded version of its Open Canvas feature. Open Canvas already offers arguably one of the best multitasking experiences on Android, having debuted on 2023’s OnePlus Open and now expanded to the brand’s tablets and even regular slab smartphones.
Also teased is “seamless iOS syncing.” There’s no indication as to what this is for, but it’s very likely for the O+ Connect app/service that Oppo and OnePlus have been building out. That app allows for wireless file transfers, screen mirroring from a Mac, and more.
As for what this tablet offers under the hood, those details are already available. OnePlus Pad 3 is already on sale in China as the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 13.2-inch 144Hz LCD display, a 12,140 mAh battery, no secure biometrics, and Android 15 out of the box.
