OnePlus and Oppo are gearing up to launch smaller phones and a leaker claims the battery is bigger than initially expected.
There have been rumblings of “Mini” smartphones coming from Oppo and OnePlus for a few months now. The latter is expected to unveil this device as the “OnePlus 13T,” and it’s supposedly coming with a 6.3-inch display, much smaller than the flagship OnePlus 13 with its 6.82-inch display.
According to Digital Chat Station, either the OnePlus “13T” or Oppo’s smaller device – or both – will be packing a 6,200 mAh battery. That’s bigger than the OnePlus 13’s battery, and also bigger than a previous report from the same leaker that mentioned a 6,000 mAh battery. Regardless of which device it’s applied to, that’s impressive.
The leaker claims the device will debut in April, which might just line up with a new announcement.
As pointed out by GSMArena, Oppo has announced an April 10 launch event for new devices which include the Find X8 Ultra, Oppo’s “Find X8S” series of slim devices, and other new devices such as a tablet, smartwatch, and a pair of earbuds. Oppo has these devices on its online shop including some details about the phones such as Snapdragon 8 Elite and Android 15, but there are new pictures of the new phones. It’s unclear if Oppo’s smaller device will launch on this date, but it seems rather likely.
