OnePlus 13s Launches In India As The First And Only Expansion For The ‘small’ Phone

OnePlus is bringing the previously Chinese-only variant of its latest device to India in the form of the OnePlus 13s. The device takes on the build of the 13T while bringing small changes.

The OnePlus 13T was praised for being a well-specced device that comes in a small package. The phone’s screen only measures 6.32 inches, but there’s little about the device that comes up short.

In India, the OnePlus 13s is the region’s official rebrand. It sports the same 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display comes in at 2460 x 1216, which OnePlus confirms is FHD+ for the device. Just like on the OnePlus 13T, the 13s display is protected by Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass for extra durability.

OnePlus notes that the 13s comes with the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite SoC with an 8-core Oryon CPU setup. The phone also has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which is handy for some of the extra AI OnePlus is trying to pack into it.

Where the phone differs from the Chinese release is in battery capacity. The OnePlus 13s packs a 5,850mAh cell with the company’s proprietary 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. Charging at insane speeds is never going to be an issue, but as far as how long the device will last, it might not be as long as the 13T’s slightly bigger battery. This device also doesn’t sport a silicon-carbon battery, which may mean an even bigger disparity in battery life.

As for the camera array, OnePlus gave the 13s a decent start. There is a 50MP main sensor with a 50MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom. Under the hood, OnePlus is likely able to make any photos taken with the 13s look good, considering it has significantly upped its game in post-processing as of late.

The OnePlus Shortcut Key is making an appearance on this device, too. The new button takes the place of the Alert Slider and acts as a dedicated custom button to turn on the flashlight, enter Do Not Disturb, or more. That, in addition to OnePlus’ AI recall features, the OnePlus lineup is taking on a slightly different look.

The OnePlus 13s is available in India starting at ₹54,999. That goes for the 12GB/256GB variant, with the option to expand to a 512GB version for a little more. The device comes in some different colors than the 13T, with a Green Silk, Black Velvet, and Pink Satin variant.
