OnePlus 13 Can Be Located Even When It’s Turned Off

The all-new OnePlus 13 can be located even when it’s turned off. It supports the same feature as Google’s Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 series devices. It can be located via Find My Device even if it’s powered off.

Needless to say, this is a very neat feature to have, in case your phone gets stolen or something like that. Even if a thief decides to turn it off, it won’t save him/her, as you’ll be able to track down the phone.

You’ll spot the “You can locate this phone with Find My Device even when powered off” message in the power menu. There’s also an additional confirmation in the Find My Device network settings page.

Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7900 system supports Powered Off Finding

How is this possible? Well, thanks to Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7900 system, which sits inside the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. FastConnect 7900 supports Powered Off Finding, though OnePlus had to implement it, of course.

This is one of many improvements that the company issued compared to the OnePlus 12. The OnePlus 13 also has better water resistance, offers better camera performance, a notably larger battery, and more.

We are quite impressed with the device

We were actually quite impressed with this smartphone. Our review is already up on the site, as we’ve been using the device for a while now. There’s really not much to complain about when it comes to the OnePlus 13.

The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and it has a gorgeous 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display. It offers up to 16GB of RAM globally, and a large 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. 100W wired (80W in the US) and 50W wireless charging is also on offer.

You can even choose the backplate material that suits you. If you prefer glass, that’s not an option, but you can also get a vegan leather model for better grip. The pricing starts at $899 in the US.
