One UI 8 Expands Deeper Integration To Older Galaxy Buds

Contents
Samsung has finally rolled out the One UI 8 Beta for the Galaxy S25 series. As expected, there are a bunch of useful features and changes. One such change coming with One UI 8 is related to the deeper integration of Galaxy Buds into the Quick Settings panel.
Deeper Integration is no longer exclusive to the Latest Galaxy Buds in One UI 8
As you may know, One UI 7 introduced deeper integration of Samsung Galaxy Buds into the Quick Settings panel. However, it only worked for just two earbuds—the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Not to mention, owners of older Galaxy Buds were quite annoyed by this very fact. Fortunately, One UI 8 has changed that.
Earlier today, folks over at Android Authority reported that deeper integration is no longer exclusive to the latest Galaxy Buds in One UI 8. Per the report, the latest One UI 8 also adds this support for older Galaxy Buds, too.
The added support means you don’t have to go through all the settings within the Galaxy Wearable app to adjust your sound modes. With One UI 8, you can do this right from the Quick Settings panel. That’s just an example. A few other settings have also been reportedly moved to your phone’s Settings.
One model is still an exception
All that said, One UI 8 hasn’t introduced deeper integration for all the older Galaxy Buds models. The news outlet further noted that the Galaxy Buds Live misses this support, at least in the beta update. It’s unclear whether the support will be available later on. Not to forget, One UI 8 is also giving multitaskers a little surprise. The Multi-Window feature now allows one app to take a larger screen area and also offers one-tap switching between apps to swap the screen area.
