Samsung’s One UI 7 has been a huge breath of fresh air, offering sweeping changes to the look and feel of the brand’s OS for its mobile devices. But the only problem is that not many devices have gotten the update so far, with the timeline for release stretching to June for some products.

With that said, the brand has now introduced an all-new personalization tool called Home Up, giving users the power to really deep dive when it comes to making your devices’ home screen unique. The disappointing part is that this plug-in is only available for those running One UI 7, which, for the moment, is just a handful of devices.

A new way to customize your device

We know that Samsung has allowed some customization of its OS through the use of Good Lock. In fact, if you’re someone that loves to take their phones to the limit and really dig into the details when it comes to customizations, Good Lock is going to be the way to do it.

Of course, there’s always more to do, so Samsung aims to really make customization even better with its new Home Up plug-in. By using the feature, users will now be able to make more intricate customizations on the home screen by relying on layers and stickers.

And this isn’t something that’s just cosmetic, because you can also utilize stickers to launch apps if needed as well, adding a nice little surprise for those in the know. You can even use Home Up to make the home screen a little cleaner by removing the dock of apps that are always present.

For the most part, this is something that most users will love. Of course, the only negative here is that there’s now another menu that you’ll have to dig through, within Good Lock, might I add, if you want to customize the settings on your phone.

Maybe for its next OS update Samsung will find a way to integrate all of these features into the standard menu system that doesn’t require alternative solutions to achieve them. With that said, maybe Good Lock is the best way to approach this, to keep things less cluttered.

If you’re interested in giving this new customization tool a try, just remember that you’ll need to be running One UI 7, which means you’ll need to own a Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, or Galaxy S25 series. You can now download Home Up from the Galaxy Store. This is where you’ll also find the Good Lock module as well.
