One UI 7 Beta Now Available For Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Z Flip 6

It looks like Samsung did keep its word after all. The company had promised that it would soon open up the One UI 7 beta program for its 2024 foldable phones. However, the recent March security update rollout put that into question. That said, a few hours later, the company officially announced that Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 users can now sign up for the One UI 7 beta program.

This week, Samsung finally made an official statement regarding the One UI 7 stable rollout. The company confirmed that the process will begin sometime in April. Of course, the devices in the Galaxy S24 series will be the first to receive it, as they have been getting beta updates for almost three months now. The company also confirmed that the One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 would open this week. Other devices that will be available to enroll soon—end of March—include the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy A55.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 users can enroll in the One UI 7 beta program

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 users reported on Reddit and other platforms that they can now enroll in the One UI 7 beta program. Those interested can do so via the Samsung Members app. They just have to tap on the corresponding banner and confirm the registration. Once you complete the process, you will receive an OTA with One UI 7 beta 1 on your foldable phone.

The firmware has the build number F956U1UEU2ZYBJ/F956U1OYM2ZYBJ/F956U1UEU2ZYBJ on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will receive the firmware under the build number F741NKSU2ZYBJ/F741NOKR2ZYBJ/F74NKSU2BYBG. The update weighs in at a hefty 5GB and includes the March 2025 security patch.

You might not see the beta program registration banner in the Samsung Members app just yet. Some reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 update is available in South Korea first. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 appears to be available only on carrier-free units for now. Anyway, Samsung will likely expand the beta program availability to more regions and devices soon.
