Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro Uses Upgraded MediaTek Chip, CMF Buds 2 Now Available

Nothing is gearing up for its next smartphone launch with teasers for the CMF Phone 2 Pro while also releasing its latest pair of earbuds.

On Twitter/X, Nothing has confirmed that the upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro will be running on top of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. If you’ll remember, this is technically the same chipset found in CMF Phone (1), though the “Pro” moniker suggests something will have been changed. The MediaTek Dimensity 7400 launched in early 2025.

There’s no word in the teaser regarding what’s changed in this “Pro” variant of the Dimensity 7300, but Nothing has had customized chips in the past. Sharing the most similarities, the Nothing Phone (2a) used a Dimensity 7200 Pro which was “tuned” for that device in particular, allowing for slightly better efficiency and support for “RAM Booster.”

CMF Phone 2 Pro launches later this month, but in the meantime, Nothing has launched the CMF Buds 2. The $59 earbuds bring an updated design, improved sound quality and ANC, but also a $20 price hike over the previous model. This puts the new earbuds just $10 below the CMF Buds 2 Pro, which are also currently on sale for just $47.

CMF Buds 2 are fully available on April 29, and for some reason are a few dollars cheaper on Amazon than they are on Nothing’s store.
